3 Tips for Better Travel Photos on your iPhone

I'm a photographer, so beautiful photos are always something that's important to me. I love being able to look back on photos from past trips and feel like I'm right there again, but I don't always love hauling around a huge camera. Cell phone cameras are so good these days, here are my top 3 tips to take better travel photos on your iPhone.

- Switch up your angle

Sometimes the best angle for the shot isn't at eye level. Get down low or get up high and try to view your scene from a different angle. For the shot below I was practically laying down in the sad to get on the same level as the wave.

- Remove distracting elements

Try to frame your shot in a way that eliminates things that could be distracting to the eye, like people, signs or cars. Anything that draws attention away from what your subject is will detract from your final image. Sometimes that means you'll need to wait for people or traffic to move.

- Download Lightroom to edit your photos

Even with how great iPhone cameras are, a little editing can go a long way. Lightroom's mobile app is free and easy to use. Play around with the presets they have or adjust each setting individually to get those photos just right!
