Las Vegas Travel Tips

We LOVE Vegas! We took our first trip there just 4 months into dating, and have been there at least once every year since (sometimes twice). There's a million things to do there, and we're always finding new things! We even got engaged in Las Vegas, so it really is a special place for us! Here are some of our top travel tips for having an amazing time in Vegas!

Avoid the weekend

You can get insane deals for Vegas if you avoid the weekend! We usually prefer to go Wednesday-Friday or Tuesday-Friday, but have found killer deals for Sunday-Tuesday too! We're talking about $150-$250 per person for flight and hotel. Plus, this city never shuts down (except in 2020) so there's still plenty of things to do and see during the week!

Be flexible with your dates

The best way we've found to get the best deal is to be flexible on our travel dates. We usually will do searches (in incognito mode, of course) for every week over a month or two span to see which week has the best price. There are lots of things that can make a trip to Vegas cost more right off the bat, like holidays, spring break, or big conventions. Searching for multiple dates will help you find the best price especially if you don't know what might be going on in Vegas that week!

Gamble at the smaller casinos

The bigger the casino name, the more expensive the gambling. We like to hit the Black Jack tables at The Cromwell or The Park. And of course you always get free drinks when you're gambling!

Get your drinks cheap

Speaking of drinks, we usually will stock up on booze at the CVS or Walgreens, which is SO much cheaper than getting drinks at your hotel. We'll hit up some bars here and there too, but you'll save so much money getting drinks this way.
