Our names are Dillon and Melissa Johnson. We're a husband and wife who are crazy about each other and traveling the world.
We took our first trip together just 2 weeks into our relationship. We didn't know it then, but it would set the tone for our whole relationship. The rest of our lives, really. 3 months later we took another trip. 4 months later, another. And so on, and so on.
9 years, 1 wedding, and a couple houses later we decided to start blogging our travels. Along the way we fell in love with photography too, and have combined our passion for travel with that. Why not share it?!
Here's the thing about us when we travel:
We're not the budget travel-find the cheapest room-who cares if it has floors-sleep on someone's couch just to get away kind of travelers. Not even close. We like to be comfortable. We like a little luxury. We're ok with spending a bit more to have a taste of the finer things. We'll drop some serious bones on an epic dining experience. Upgrade the room for the best view? Yes, please!
Sometimes, we take a trip just to relax and you couldn't get us out of our pool chairs for anything (except maybe another margarita or a trip to the buffet). Other times, we're down to explore, get a little lost and try something new. It's about balance, right?
Here's a bit about each of us
Melissa was born with the travel bug. She spent her childhood dreaming of the beach, and her room was decorated with palm trees and dolphins. Growing up she took family vacations to Florida, California, Hawaii, and Alaska. As a teenager she spent three weeks exploring England, France, and Italy. Each trip she takes lea

Beyond traveling, Melissa spent 10+ years as a professional wedding photographer, and has grown to really love travel photography. She is crazy about tacos, wine, her husband, and their two cats, Kupo and Sam. She's got an epic sense of humor (just ask Dillon) and her love language is people laughing at her jokes.

Dillon also traveled a lot growing up, spending family vacations in Mexico and Belize. His favorite thing about traveling is the food, finding that perfect restaurant and pairing his meal with an excellent glass of wine.
Dillon loves to move - he spends his free time snowboarding, skateboarding, or off roading. And when he's not doing those things he's tinkering and improving his gear. Early in their relationship Melissa taught him photography and Dillon takes incredible landscape photos! He's an amateur wine connoisseur and whisky aficionado, also obsessed with Kupo and Sam, and loves spending time with his wife.
